Leslie Freeman joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2008. She is licensed to practice law in California and Missouri.

Ms. Freeman represents our northern California union clients in the public and private sector.  She works to enforce the employment rights of unions and individuals through wage and hour, discrimination, labor speech, public records act and other civil litigation in state and federal court. She appears in disciplinary and contract interpretation arbitrations, unfair labor practice and representation matters before PERB and the NLRB, and in administrative hearings before state and federal agencies.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Freeman practiced law in St. Louis, Missouri where she represented individuals and unions in labor and employment matters and advocated for domestic violence victims in family law matters.  She was a private attorney, managing attorney for Legal Aid of Eastern Missouri, and senior trial attorney with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Ms. Freeman litigated individual and class race, gender, national origin, and age discrimination cases in the federal courts of Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and North Carolina. She served as executive director for the Federal Eighth Circuit Gender Fairness Task Force and the State of Missouri Task Force on Gender and Justice and as an adjunct professor at Washington University School of Law, Saint Louis University Law School, and the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
