Alan Crowley Email: acrowley@unioncounsel.net Education: Alan Crowley joined Weinberg, Roger and Rosenfeld in 1999. Mr. Crowley specializes in representing labor unions and union related entities in all manner of litigation, organizing, negotiations, and arbitrations. He provides counsel to unions with members in construction, health care, entertainment, transportation, manufacturing and the private sector. He also represents Taft Hartley trust funds, employees in class-action litigation, and individuals in employment rights cases. Alan received his Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1991. He received a Masters of Science degree in Physics and Biophysics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1994. Alan switched from studying the laws of the universe to the much less coherent laws of the United States. All cases concerning quantum mechanics should be directed his way. Mr. Crowley graduated from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1999. While attending law school, he worked for the Homeless Advocacy Project, a small plaintiff -side employment discrimination law firm, and interned for U.S. District Court Judge Thelton E. Henderson. Alan first became active in the union movement attending UFW events and rallies as a child. Hailing from a family of French protestant ministers, social justice was a common subject of discussion. In college, Alan organized numerous political groups, marches, and demonstrations around issues concerning homelessness, Central America, economic conversion, demilitarization, and racism. Union brothers and sisters frequently participated during those organizing efforts. Alan also speaks Spanish and French fluently. Practice Areas: |
