Ana Gallegos joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2007. She received her undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from Stanford University, and her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School.
Ms. Gallegos began her work in the labor movement at Stanford University, where as a student activist she was involved in the struggle to improve poor working conditions at “Webb Ranch,” a property of the university. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Gallegos was a teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District. While teaching, she was a very active member of the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA). She was the head steward at her school site, a member of the UTLA House of Representatives, and also organized teachers and parents in the East side communities of Los Angeles around issues of economic and educational justice. In conjunction with her union activism, Ms. Gallegos was on the Executive Board Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council of the City of Los Angeles where she devoted time to address the issues of working people in her community.
While at law school, Ms. Gallegos received the 2006 Harry A. Blackmun Fellowship to clerk with the California Women’s Law Center. Ms. Gallegos also served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Sexuality.
