Antonio Ruiz joined Weinberg, Roger and Rosenfeld in 1995. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Ruiz was an associate with Reich, Adell, Crost and Cuiton and worked, during law school, for MALDEF (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund).

Mr. Ruiz provides general representation of labor unions in the private and public sector. He regularly appears in state and federal courts and at the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Ruiz also represents individuals suffering catastrophic injuries in third party litigation.

Mr. Ruiz regularly works with SEIU Local 1877’s Justice for Janitors Campaign.  He has assisted in developing and implementing organizing strategies that have resulted in numerous successful organizing campaigns.  He regularly advises clients concerning wage and hour issues and has litigated several class actions.  Mr. Ruiz has developed an expertise concerning immigration law.  He regularly advises unions in immigration issues as they arise in the labor context – including no-match letters, I-9 verification, and unlawful reverification.
