Bruce Harland joined Weinberg, Roger and Rosenfeld in 2003. Prior to law school, Mr. Harland was a Union organizer. Notably, Mr. Harland is the subject of a D.C. Circuit Court opinion about whether Stanford University Medical Center unlawfully violated the National Labor Relations Act when they evicted Mr. Harland from a bench on the Medical Center property because they believed he was in violation of their no-solicitation policy. Mr. Harland, involved in an organizing campaign at the Medical Center, is called “a self-confessed serial violator of Stanford's solicitation and distribution rules” by the Court of Appeals. Stanford Hospital v. National Labor Relations Board (2003) 325 F.3d 334, 345-36.
While at Rutgers University School of Law, Mr. Harland received a Peggy Browning Fellowship to clerk with the Service Employees International Union. Mr. Harland also served as the Managing Editor of the Rutgers Race and the Law Review.
