Jannah V. Manansala Email: jmanansala@unioncounsel.net Education: Jannah Manansala joined Weinberg, Roger and Rosenfeld in 2006. She received her law degree from the UC Davis School of Law in 2006, where she became a member of the Order of Barristers for excellence in courtroom advocacy. Ms. Manansala also graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College, and received a bachelor degree in both English and Spanish with a focus on ethnic literature and film theory. Ms. Manansala first became involved in the labor movement by working as a union organizer in Florida and helped organize valet workers in the Miami Beach area. She also served as a translator and interviewer for the law firm of Talamantes, Carrera and Villegas in San Franscisco and assisted in gathering plaintiffs for a successful class action against California supermarkets. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Manansala worked as an intern at the Office of the Public Defender in San Francisco, the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service, Civil Rights Division in Washington, D.C., and the Asian Pacific Islander Partnership for Health in Washington, D.C. During her time at law school, she served as a teaching assistant for the UC Davis Department of Asian American Studies. Ms. Manansala previously served as a member of the Civil Rights Committee for the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. In 2009, Ms. Manansala received the Filipina Women's Network's 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the U.S. award. Ms. Manansala is fluent in Tagalog and Spanish. Practice Areas: |
