John Plotz is of counsel to the Weinberg firm. He has practiced law in California continuously since 1975, except for three years when he taught law at Boalt Hall (1975-6), Beijing University (1982-3), and Sun Yatsen University in Guangzhou, China (1983-4), where he was a Fulbright Scholar. His practice has been chiefly in civil litigation. His most recent published cases include Beck v. PACE Int’l Union, 427 F.3d 668 (9th Cir. 2005), Int’l Assn. Of Machinists, Local 964 v. B.F. Goodrich, 387 F.3d 1046 (9th Cir. 2004), Pension Trust Fund for Operating Engineers v. Federal Ins. Co., 307 F.3d 944 (9th Cir. 2002) and Local 2-1971 of PACE Int’l Union v. Cooper, 364 F.Supp.2d 546 (W.D.N.C. 2005).
