Kristina M. Zinnen Email: kzinnen@unioncounsel.net Education: Kristina Zinnen joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2006. She received her undergraduate degree in German Studies and Women’s Studies from Northwestern University, and her Juris Doctor and Certificate in International and Comparative Law from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She received the 2006 American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law and the Bureau of National Affairs Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law. Ms. Zinnen was educated in the labor movement as a rank-and-file member organizer with Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 790. Before law school, she worked for the San Francisco Labor Council, where she was a 2003 Labor/Neighbor Committee on Political Education (COPE) Dinner Honoree and received a California State Assembly Certificate of Recognition. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Zinnen worked as a Peggy Browning Fund Fellow with the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees (UNITE-HERE) Local 2, a court mediator with the Small Claims Division of the San Francisco Superior Court, and a law clerk for Leonard Carder, LLP. She also represented employees in employment discrimination mediation at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in wage and hour settlement conferences at California’s Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. She is a member of Human Rights Advocates, and has advocated on behalf of migrant workers at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York and Commission on Human Rights in Geneva.
