Employee Benefit Plans and Union-Related Trust Funds

Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld provides a wide range of legal services to employee benefit plans that provide retirement, health, and other benefits to employees. Many of these benefit plans are governed by union-related trust funds, and we serve as general counsel to the boards of trustees of several dozen such trust funds throughout the western United States.

Our services include review of compliance with the rapidly changing laws governing employee benefit plans, drafting of plan documents and amendments, and representing plans in their relations with government agencies. We litigate many cases under the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), including collection actions for delinquent employer contributions, suits for breach of fiduciary duty, and bankruptcy matters.
