Labor Arbitrations and Collective Bargaining Negotiations

Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld advocates for unions and their members in thousands of labor arbitration and administrative law cases in the public and private sector each year. We defend workers against unjust discipline, including termination, by pursuing arbitration under grievance procedures established by collective bargaining agreements.

We also negotiate collective bargaining agreements in the public and private sector, enforce statutory civil service rights of employees in administrative proceedings and in court; and advise and defend unions and workers confronted with subcontracting and layoffs. We defend employees challenged with license or credential revocation and unions accused of picket line offenses. We also advise unions on agency shop issues, “Beck” obligations, and train shop stewards and business representatives. We enforce arbitration awards in state and federal court and pursue various collection actions against recalcitrant employers.
