Zach Angulo joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2021 as an associate after receiving his Juris Doctor from the U.C. Berkeley School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in California. Mr. Angulo’s practice focuses primarily on representing employee benefit plans. He works on matters such as ERISA trust fund collections, plan qualification under the Internal Revenue Code, cybersecurity, and compliance with securities regulations.

Prior to becoming an associate, Mr. Angulo served as a Peggy Browning Fund Fellow at the UAW International Union’s headquarters at Solidarity House and as a law clerk for Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld.

Mr. Angulo brings his experience to the firm as a proponent of the student-worker movement. At Northwestern University, he served as the inaugural Chairperson for Northwestern University Graduate Workers’ Strategic Research Committee, as well as a member of its Organizing Committee. At U.C. Berkeley, he served as Head Steward of UAW Local 2865, Executive Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law, and Leader of the Berkeley Law and Organizing Collective. He has trained student-worker union stewards in contract enforcement and grievance arbitration procedures. He won the Thelen Marrin Award for Best Published Student Article in Class for his article, The NLRB and Graduate-Worker Employee Status: Past, Present, and Future.

Prior to his legal education and practice, Mr. Angulo earned his B.A. in History at Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College and his M.A. in History from Northwestern University.
