Tanner Gross joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2025 as an associate attorney in the Emeryville office after clerking for the firm while in law school. Mr. Gross’s practice centers on representing public and private sector unions in a variety of state and federal labor and employment matters including labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, and litigation.
Before joining Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld, Mr. Gross worked as a Certified Legal Intern in the Felony Mental Health Diversion unit of the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office. He also previously served as a Legal Extern to Magistrate Judge Dennis M. Cota of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Mr. Gross earned his juris doctor from University of California, Davis School of Law, where he was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While in law school, Mr. Gross volunteered as a student counselor with the Workers’ Rights Legal Clinic providing free legal assistance to low-income workers. He also participated in many law school organizations including serving on the Trial Practice Honors Board and working as a research editor for the Social Justice Law Review. Additionally, Mr. Gross participated in several law school mock trial competitions and received the championship trophy while representing his law school at the UCLA Premiere Trial Competition.
Mr. Gross earned his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology – Organizational Studies from the University of California, Davis. Guided by a deep belief in the labor movement, Mr. Gross is passionate about empowering workers and strengthening unions as a force for economic and social justice.
