Ardalan “Ardy” Raghian

Ardalan 'Ardy' Raghian joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2023 as an associate in the Emeryville office.  Mr. Raghian's practice focuses on representing public and private sector unions in a variety of labor law matters, including bargaining, strategy, internal union matters, contract disputes, grievances, and representation in mediation, arbitration, disciplinary matters, and unfair labor practice proceedings before the California Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Prior to joining WRR, Mr. Raghian practiced law at another union-side firm, where he represented both private and public sector unions as well as individual plaintiffs in employment-related lawsuits.

Mr. Raghian received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2021.  During his time as a law student, Mr. Raghian interned with the ACLU of Northern California, Northern California Innocence Project, and Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights SF Bay Area.  He was the President and Founder of the school’s ACLU of Northern California Club, President of the American Constitution Society Chapter, Advisor to the Social Justice Coalition, and Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate, which received the American Bar Association’s Law School Newspaper National Award of Excellence in 2020 and 2021.

While attending UC Santa Cruz, where he graduated with a BA in History, Mr. Raghian was the City Desk Editor of the student-run newspaper and hosted an environmental news segment for the school’s radio station – KZSC 88.1.  Upon graduating, he worked as a press director and paralegal at an Indigenous rights non-profit while publishing investigative news articles as a freelance journalist.  Amid the Dakota Access Pipeline protests, Mr. Raghian was on the ground at the protest camps in North Dakota providing paralegal assistance to arrested water-protectors.  Afterwards, he began working with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s Chairman’s office on various public relations, alliance-building, and fundraising efforts while continuing his paralegal work.  During his time living on the Standing Rock Reservation, he also served as the Campaign Manager for two successful Standing Rock Sioux Tribe campaigns – one to establish a water safety system to protect against pipeline leaks and the other to combat voter suppression.

The American Constitution Society named Mr. Raghian a Next Generation Leader in 2021, and he has been a Board Member of the American Constitution Society’s Bay Area Lawyer Chapter since 2021.

Mr. Raghian speaks Farsi fluently.
