Davíd Briceño joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2025 as an associate in the Emeryville office after clerking for the firm since 2024. Mr. Briceño’s practice centers on representing public and private sector unions in a variety of labor law matters, including representation in unfair labor practice proceedings before the California Public Employment Relations Board (PERB).
While attending UC College of the Law San Francisco, Mr. Briceño worked as a Peggy Browning Fellow and as law clerk for California Nurses Association/National Nurses United. He worked with registered nurses in a variety of legal matters including contract enforcement and establishing safe staffing levels in hospitals and healthcare centers. As a law student, Mr. Briceño volunteered as an organizer to help establish the first student worker union at UC Law San Francisco and as legal counselor for the Legal Aid at Work-Workers’ Rights Clinic.
Prior to law school, Mr. Briceño worked in retail, food service, agriculture, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. Mr. Briceño earned a degree in welding technology that he utilized as a metal fabricator in Oxnard, CA. Mr. Briceño grew up in the central coast of California before moving to the Bay Area to complete his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from The University of California, Berkeley which he earned in 2022. At UC Berkeley, Mr. Briceño participated in the Berkeley Changemaker program where he conducted labor research for action and policy on behalf of the California Domestic Workers Coalition. During the summer before law school, Mr. Briceño worked archiving documents related to the labor and community organizing work of Fred Ross, Fred Ross Jr., and Cesar Chavez. He graduated from UC College of the Law San Francisco in 2025.
