Maximillian Casillas

Maximillian Casillas joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2021. Mr. Casillas’ practice focuses on helping underpaid workers recover what they are owed through litigation and representing unions and workers in state and federal courts, employment and labor arbitrations, and administrative hearings.

Prior to joining WRR, Mr. Casillas worked as a civil litigation attorney managing a significant caseload. In this role, Mr. Casillas developed and managed civil cases through all stages of litigation, from pre-filing investigation and complaint-drafting to pretrial discovery and motion practice, and up to and including bench and jury trials.

Mr. Casillas earned his juris doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he was awarded a public interest scholarship in recognition of his previous work experience, demonstrated commitment to helping working people, and public service. While attending Loyola Law School, Mr. Casillas was a staff writer for the International and Comparative Law Review. He previously earned a B.A. in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he graduated cum laude in 2012.

Mr. Casillas was selected for the “Super Lawyers” California Rising Stars list in 2022. He is admitted to practice law in California.

Notable Accomplishments at WRR

  • Mr. Casillas successfully prevented an employer from obtaining a court order to restrain a union from striking in the matter of Rich Products, etc., vs. Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers & Grain Millers, Local 37, et al., which helped to facilitate the employer acceding to the demands of the workers, ending the strike.
