Dylan Holmes joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2023 as an associate in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Holmes’ practice focuses on the representation of public and private sector unions from the beginning stages of organizing through contract enforcement. He also represents unions and workers in a variety of litigation matters. Mr. Holmes’ mission is to provide legal strategy and representation to a militant and growing labor movement.
Before joining WRR as an associate, Mr. Holmes spent a summer at the firm as a Peggy Browning Fellow, continuing on as a spring clerk. Previously, he clerked at a plaintiff’s employment and labor firm, where he helped prepare for labor arbitrations and assisted in employment discrimination and wage and hour litigation. He also served as a Board Agent with Region 21 of the National Labor Relations Board and as a legal intern with the Writers Guild of America West.
Mr. Holmes earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he was on the Steering Committee of Loyola’s National Lawyers Guild chapter. He was also a member of the Byrne Trial Advocacy Team, an award-winning mock trial team. His team competed in the final round of The Verdict, a national competition. While at Loyola, Mr. Holmes was a research assistant to labor and employment law scholar Jonathan Harris, assisting Professor Harris’ research into contemporary trends in worker subjugation. His and Professor Harris’ article The “Protecting the Right to Organize” Act and the Radical Roots of Labor Law Reform was published in the American Bar Association’s civil rights publication.
Mr. Holmes was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and considers it his second home. He is admitted to practice law in California.
